The role
The position involves primary responsibility for the treatment of primary accession and referred cases in our emergency and critical care department, as well as shared care of hospitalised patients from the primary emergency caseload and other specialist departments. Management of ICU cases often involves discussion and assistance from multiple specialist disciplines, providing an excellent opportunity for learning and case follow‐up.

We are a large 24hr multidisciplinary hospital based in Collingwood, staffed with an outstanding team of veterinarians, nurses, and support staff working alongside specialists in surgery, internal medicine, and emergency & critical care. We provide access to a large suite of equipment, including Siemens 16‐slice CT, digital radiography, digital subtraction fluoroscopy, Phillips Affiniti and POC ultrasound machines, 3T MRI imaging, advanced anaesthetic monitoring, and critical care equipment such as Menios oxygen cages and Getinge Servo‐U ventilator.

About You
* Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent with Veterinary Registration in VIC (essential).
* Experience in an emergency veterinary setting is desirable; a positive attitude and willingness to learn is also welcomed.
* Interest and some experience in routine and emergency surgery would be ideal.
* Commitment to being a team player, good communicator and contributor to a positive workplace environment.
* Dedication to delivering compassionate and high‐quality veterinary care.
