Spanline is seeking an experienced Subcontractor Builder to join our growing team to construct high-quality enclosed residential patios and carports. This role suits a reliable, skilled builder with hands on experience who takes pride in workmanship, has an eye for detail and can confidently liaise with clients.
About the Role
As a Subcontractor Builder, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Spanline outdoor structures, from site preparation through to completion. You will be the on‐site representative of the Spanline brand, working closely with clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, professionally, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
* Construct enclosed patios, carports, and associated structures in line with Spanline specifications and Australian Standards
* Read and interpret plans, engineering drawings, and permits
* Liaise professionally with clients on‐site, addressing questions and providing clear updates
* Coordinate site works, including material handling and scheduling
* Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high‐quality finish
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organised worksite
* Work collaboratively with Spanline project managers and support staff
Skills & Experience
* Proven building experience, ideally in patios, carports, pergolas, or similar residential structures
* Strong carpentry and construction skills
* Ability to work independently and manage jobs from start to finish
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
* Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
Requirements
* Current Builder registration (VBA) or relevant trade qualification
* ABN and ability to work as a subcontractor
* Current public liability insurance (and workers compensation if applicable)
* White Card
* Driver's Licence
* Own tools, vehicle, and equipment
* Ability to work across various locations in Victoria
