Responsibilities
* Produce feasibility studies and write procurement reports.
* Estimate and plan costs, including producing and presenting the final cost plan.
* Tender and procure, managing the pre‐qualification stage, producing the tender list, preparing preliminaries, conducting pre‐tender estimates, tender analysis, producing the tender report, and compiling contractual documents.
* Effectively manage post‐contract cost variances and the change control processes, referring major changes to the line manager.
* Assess progress claims on site against drawings and the plan.
* Take personal responsibility for cost checks and carry out valuations on larger projects, ensuring timely and accurate cost checking and valuation.
* Produce monthly post‐contract cost reports for the line manager to present to the client.
* Input data into value engineering.
* Manage knowledge by ensuring key information and learning from each commission are entered into Turner & Townsend's internal database.
* Seek opportunities to develop new business with existing clients and report such opportunities to the line manager.
* Follow project governance processes and systems, cascading Turner & Townsend cost‐management procedures to relevant staff.
* Lead a cost‐management team when appropriate, ensuring they deliver on all above accountabilities.
* Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable.
Qualifications
* Recognised degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a similar field.
* Sound experience in cost planning and contract administration.
* Five years of experience in cost‐management roles with an emphasis on consultancy.
* Direct experience managing clients, contractors and consultants.
* RICS and AIQS accreditation preferred.
* CostX experience preferred.
* Intermediate to high level Microsoft Excel skills.
* Valid driving licence.
