Responsibilities
* Fit / Assist hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic hoses and fittings to semi‐tipping trailers
* Make hydraulic hoses and pipes and fit to equipment
* Fit / Assist hydraulic cylinders, PTOs, pumps, valves, hoses and fittings to new/used trucks
* Fit / Assist pneumatic brake kits to semi tractors: air tanks, brake valves, boosters, air hoses and fittings
* Test hydraulic and brake systems on trucks and trailers for correct operation
* Fit electrical harness, lights, plugs and sockets to new semi trailers
* Fit cab switch controls and wiring to truck dashboard to operate tipping equipment and accessories
* Fit lights and electrics to new truck bodies
Qualifications
* Trades certificate in fitting or related area (preferred)
* Available now or at short notice
* Experience with truck trailers and side tippers (beneficial)
* At least 2 years experience in a similar role (for assistants)
* Knowledge of general mechanics, heavy vehicles and/or plant equipment
* Basic knowledge of hydraulic and automotive electrical systems
* Prior fault‐finding experience
* Ability to learn correct procedures & processes
* Good working knowledge of OS&H and environmental practices
