Overview
Senior Associate to join our dynamic Foreign Investment team, working closely with our Foreign Investment Partner and Special Counsel. You will join a team with a track record in obtaining foreign investment approvals on high-profile and complex transactions in Australia, engaging in complex transactions across Australia and Asia, and representing the region's largest public companies, major financial institutions, and global investment banks on foreign investment approvals. You will have the opportunity to work on foreign investment approvals for large offshore and significant onshore acquisitions across sectors including mining, manufacturing, agriculture, telecommunications, energy, defence, and data. As a core senior member of the team, you will mentor and supervise junior lawyers and contribute to your own professional development.
Responsibilities
* Support foreign investment approvals for large offshore and significant onshore acquisitions across a variety of sectors.
* Represent clients including major public companies, financial institutions, and global investment banks on foreign investment approvals.
* Mentor and supervise junior lawyers to support their development and the team’s capabilities.
* Collaborate with colleagues across Australia and Asia and engage with the Foreign Investment team on complex matters.
Qualifications
* Detailed knowledge of and deep experience in Australia\'s foreign investment regime.
* Excellent analytical, communication and research skills to deliver prompt and commercially astute advice.
* Strong commitment to client service and relationship management; ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
* Team-focused with ability to foster effective internal collaboration.
