Role Overview
As a Promontory Consultant, you will be contributing to risk, regulatory and compliance engagements on a day‐to‐day basis, analysing complex problems, developing recommendations to address client issues and heavily involved in reports and other deliverables. A strong consulting background with experience in non‐financial risk management for banks, insurers and/or superannuation is preferable. This will include experience across several elements of the broader non‐financial risk management ecosystem: risk appetite statements, risk frameworks, risk profiling, compliance management, incidents and issues management, risk maturity assessments, risk culture and capability, risk reporting and analytics, GRC tools, and governance. Experience of implementing or reviewing CPS 220 and CPS 230 will be favourably regarded.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage projects and act as client point of contact on a day‐to‐day basis contributing to engagements being delivered to budget.
* Undertake analysis as directed and take responsibility for the preparation of project deliverables, including reports and presentations.
* Strong analytical skills, oral skills, with demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, simply and logically.
* Strong written communication skills with the ability to construct well‐founded, clear, and concise analyses and recommendations.
* Ability to handle complex information, solve problems, and manage multiple tasks.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
* An undergraduate degree in either Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or Law; postgraduate qualifications highly regarded.
* At least 3 years' experience in Financial Services which could be in Consulting, with Regulators, or working within Compliance, Risk management, or risk support functions within financial services organisations.
* Track record working in a fast‐paced and unstructured environment with aptitude for identifying and developing innovative solutions for client challenges.
* Be an Australian citizen or have Australian Permanent Residency.
