About the Role
This is a commercial relationship management role.
You'll work closely with a portfolio of childcare providers across Australia, becoming a trusted advisor who understands their business, their challenges and their goals. You'll help customers maximise their use of the OWNA platform, improve adoption across their teams and identify opportunities where additional products and services can deliver further value.
Success in this role is measured through a combination of customer outcomes and commercial performance. You'll be responsible for customer retention, account growth, platform adoption, customer satisfaction and achieving quarterly revenue targets across your portfolio.
You'll partner with Centre Managers, Approved Providers, Operations Managers and Executive Leaders, while working closely with OWNA's Product, Support, Implementation and Leadership teams.
This role may suit an experienced Centre Manager, Operations Manager, Approved Provider or childcare leader looking to take their sector knowledge into a technology company where they can influence outcomes across hundreds of services rather than just one. It may also suit an experienced Account Manager, Customer Success Manager or Business Development professional who enjoys building long‐term customer relationships and delivering commercial results.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of childcare and early learning customers across Australia.
* Build trusted relationships with Centre Managers, Approved Providers, Operations Managers and Executive stakeholders.
* Develop strategic account plans that support customer success, retention and growth.
* Conduct regular business reviews and account planning sessions with customers.
* Drive customer adoption, engagement and long‐term success with the OWNA platform.
* Identify opportunities for upsell, cross‐sell and account expansion across OWNA's growing suite of solutions.
* Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets across an assigned customer portfolio.
* Prepare and present commercial proposals, pricing recommendations and business cases.
* Support customer renewals and retention initiatives.
* Act as a key point of contact and advocate for customers within OWNA.
* Partner with Product, Support and Implementation teams to ensure customer feedback is reflected in future platform improvements.
* Maintain accurate forecasting, account plans and opportunity management through CRM systems.
* Maintain a deep understanding of the childcare sector and the challenges facing providers.
About You
* Experience working within the childcare, early childhood education or OSHC sector is highly desirable.
* Experience in Account Management, Customer Success, Relationship Management, Business Development or similar customer‐facing roles.
* Demonstrated success achieving sales, retention, account growth or commercial targets.
* Strong relationship‐building skills and a genuine interest in helping customers succeed.
* Commercially minded, with the ability to identify opportunities that create value for both customers and OWNA.
* Comfortable presenting to and influencing senior decision‐makers.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong organisational and stakeholder management capabilities.
* Curious, proactive and able to solve problems collaboratively.
* Comfortable working with technology and learning new software platforms.
* Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites, conferences and industry events.
Nice to Have
* Previous experience as a Centre Manager, Educational Leader, Operations Manager or Approved Provider.
* Experience managing customer portfolios within a SaaS or technology business.
* Understanding of childcare compliance, funding and operational requirements.
* Experience presenting to groups, facilitating workshops or delivering customer training.
* Experience working with CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce or similar.
