About Us
Sinclair Dermatology is one of Australia's largest and most innovative dermatology practices, seeing over 70,000 patients per year. The clinic includes more than 16 dermatologists, 3 fellows and a plastic surgeon, spread over three locations. We also host Australia's largest clinical trials unit, a hair transplant unit, a dermal and laser clinic and a specialist hair salon. The centre is led by internationally renowned Dermatologist Professor Rodney Sinclair. Our main office is located in East Melbourne with additional centres in Pascoe Vale South and Parkville.
About the Role
As the central Human Resources leader of our organisation, you will provide strategic direction across all HR activities and processes and work closely with the CEO, Heads of Department, Practice Manager and Team Leaders. This role offers an opportunity to make a tangible impact on growth and employee experience.
* Collaborate with senior leadership to develop HR strategies aligned with the organisation's long‐term objectives.
* Lead workforce planning and talent strategy to attract, develop and retain high‐performing employees.
* Partner with senior leaders to anticipate hiring needs and support effective organisational design.
* Support succession planning and leadership development to maintain capability across the organisation.
* Develop and refine policies, procedures and forms to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
* Lead the recruitment process from job postings to onboarding, ensuring a positive candidate experience.
* Oversee, optimise and utilise our HRIS system (ELMO) to streamline HR processes.
* Keep abreast of current and changing employment legislation requirements and provide guidance on compliance and best practice.
* Lead Employment Relations processes, providing expert advice and support to managers and employees.
* Drive performance management and development programs, including salary reviews, salary adjustments and performance improvement plans.
* Provide training to managers and staff on key HR elements such as the use of ELMO.
* Coach and mentor the HR team, fostering professional growth and a high‐performing culture, and provide structured training where appropriate.
* Analyse HR data to provide actionable insights and recommendations to the CEO and Business Owner.
Workplace Flexibility
This role is primarily office‐based to support close collaboration with the team. From time to time, reasonable flexibility may be considered where appropriate and consistent with the operational requirements of the practice.
About You
* Relevant tertiary qualifications ideally in Human Resources or Industrial Relations.
* Experience managing complex situations related to dispute resolution, grievances and disciplinary processes.
* Experience and expertise in interpreting awards and agreements.
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a knack for building strong relationships with a diverse range of people.
* Ability to thrive in a changing and evolving environment.
* Organised, proactive and able to prioritise effectively.
* Confident in leading the HR function and providing independent HR advice.
