My client is a privately owned, diversified property investment group with a strong portfolio of high-quality retail assets across Australia's eastern seaboard. Built on a foundation of integrity and entrepreneurial thinking, they are seeking an experienced Retail Tenancy Delivery Manager to join their Brisbane team.
The Role
This is a critical, hands-on position responsible for the end-to-end delivery of retail tenancies across my client's retail portfolio, from lease execution through to practical completion and trade. You'll serve as the key interface between leasing, asset management, operations, consultants, and retail partners, ensuring all fitouts and refurbishments are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high standard.
What You'll Be Doing
* Managing the full tenancy delivery lifecycle across a live retail portfolio
* Reviewing and managing obligations under leases, agreements for lease and associated legal documentation
* Coordinating base build, landlord works and tenant fitout interfaces within operational shopping centres
* Preparing and managing delivery programmes with a focus on critical path milestones
* Chairing weekly delivery meetings and managing external consultant and contractor teams
* Reviewing tenant design submissions for NCC and lease compliance
* Coordinating authority approvals including building permits and occupancy certificates
* Managing project costs, variations, landlord contributions, and tenant cost recovery
* Proactively identifying and mitigating delivery risks in live trading environments
* Maintaining accurate reporting on delivery status, risks, costs, and milestones
* Ensuring all WHS and compliance obligations are met throughout construction
What You'll Bring
* Proven experience in retail tenancy delivery or project management within shopping centre environments
* Strong understanding of retail leases and tenancy delivery obligations
* Working knowledge of NCC, Australian Standards and retail fitout processes
* Experience managing programmes, budgets, consultants, and contractors
* Commercial acumen and strong problem-solving ability
* Confident communicator who thrives in complex stakeholder environments
* Calm, resilient and decisive under pressure
* Highly organised, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
