With the rollout of the new Aged Care Act in full swing and the first wave of baby boomers entering residential care, the landscape of the industry is shifting rapidly. Regulatory expectations are high, and community-owned regional homes need strong, empathetic people leaders to guide their teams through the changes.
We have been engaged by one of Australia's largest and most successful regional aged care providers to find a General Manager for a beautifully maintained care community on the North West Coast of Tasmania.

The COO started with the company 20 years ago as a 19-year-old personal care worker, and the CEO worked his way up from middle management. They are completely grounded leaders who know the floor, understand roster pressures, and run a strictly flat structure. Their core focus is removing workplace frustrations so you can actually do your job. Because they actively listen and support their staff, the organization sets an incredible benchmark for leadership engagement. They recently recorded a management Employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS) of 92, an advocacy level virtually unheard of in this sector.
About the Home
You will be taking the reins of a medium-to-large care community located in a highly sought-after seaside village, just 15 minutes from major regional hubs.
This is a highly stable, well-run home, not a turnaround project. It is currently operating at 100% occupancy, is financially profitable, and is dialed in on the mandated care minutes. The physical environment is stunning, surrounded by rich local farming areas and coastal views. You will also benefit from being in close proximity to two sister facilities, allowing the local management teams to collaborate, share education sessions, and support each other with staffing pools.
Your Manager & Mentor
Perhaps the biggest selling point of this role is the person you will report to. You will work directly under a Regional Manager with decades of nursing and healthcare leadership experience. Her leadership style is authentic and built on relationships. She makes herself available to her General Managers constantly and will have your back every step of the way. She is looking for a strong people-person and is more than happy to guide you in the career if you bring the right leadership qualities to the floor.
The Support & Benefits
* Salary & Relocation: Circa $160,000 plus Superannuation + Salary Packaging. If you are relocating, the organization offers up to 3 months of free accommodation in a 3-bedroom house right on site to help you settle and find your feet in the local market.
* Massive Central Support: You will be backed by a dedicated corporate AN-ACC team that handles the bulk of funding submissions, monitoring, and reassessments.
* On-Site Compliance Help: The home has recently introduced a dedicated, full-time Quality and Compliance RN to sit on-site. This role is designed to manage audits and support the clinical team, taking a massive documentation load off your shoulders.

* AHPRA Registration
* Nursing Degree HIGHLY valued
* Existing experience overseeing a RAC facility
* Full Working Rights in Australia
* Willing to relocate to TAS
