Overview
Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Subcontracts Manager to join our team in Alice Springs, Australia, supporting critical National Security programs. This is a leadership-focused role where you will manage subcontracting and procurement activities with a strategic mindset, ensuring compliance, operational excellence, and cost-effective solutions in a mission-driven, fast-paced environment. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8 hours per day.
Responsibilities
* Lead and mentor a team of subcontract administrators, driving the execution of effective procurement strategies.
* Streamline processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to deliver high-quality results.
* Leadership & Team Management: Supervise and mentor approximately eight (8) Subcontract Administrators; oversee recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and talent management; foster a collaborative, high-performing, and diverse team culture.
* Operational Excellence: Lead all subcontracts and procurement activities within your area; develop, implement, and enforce processes to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness; establish data-driven metrics and reporting systems; review and validate subcontract documents for accuracy and compliance.
* Compliance & Oversight: Ensure adherence to Amentum policies, FAR/DFARS, and compliance standards; conduct subcontract compliance reviews, CPSR audits, ACO consent processes, and import/export compliance.
* Strategic Contributions: Collaborate with leadership to influence capture strategies and integrate subcontracts and procurement into business development; utilize Costpoint, OnPoint, and SAP for procurement and reporting; participate in monthly program reviews and provide strategic insights to customers and senior management.
* Hands-On Subcontracts Administration: Support program operations by directly managing subcontract agreement administration as needed; assist with new initiatives, special projects, and problem-solving to drive mission success.

Role is performed in a standard office setting. This is a leadership-focused, hands-on role requiring active participation in supply chain tasks as necessary.
Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
* Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS regulations and import/export compliance requirements.
* Extensive experience in developing and executing effective supply chain strategies.
* Proven ability to deliver cost-saving initiatives and manage change in a dynamic environment.
* Demonstrated expertise in subcontract compliance, CPSR audits, and metrics-driven performance management.
* Proficiency with Costpoint, SAP, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
* Exceptional organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
Security Clearance
Must be a U.S. citizen with a Secret clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance. Continued employment is contingent upon obtaining/maintaining the required clearance, meeting client-site requirements, and securing necessary visa and medical/psychological clearances.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (four (4) years of relevant experience may substitute for each year of required education).
Minimum Years of Experience
A minimum of 10 years of experience in subcontract management or related fields, with at least 8 years in a leadership/management role, and at least 3 years of management experience specifically in a subcontract management environment.
Preferred Qualifications
* Professional certifications in supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP).
* Experience in high-volume, global supply chain environments.
* Prior experience supporting contingency operations is highly desirable.
Employment Details
This position is designated as a safety-sensitive position. Amentum is a drug-free workplace and requires all personnel to comply with company drug and alcohol policies as a condition of employment.
