Workplace Educator - Residential Aged Care
We are looking for a diligent and experienced Educator and Facilitator to support our Residential Aged Care home at Villa Maria Fortitude Valley. This role involves identifying and managing education, training and compliance needs, and facilitating training across all areas of home operations including clinical, hospitality, laundry, and cleaning. Your ability to engage across operations, understand the business and passion for education will be critical to your success.
Responsibilities
* Facilitate and deliver ongoing education and training to all employees, supporting compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards
* Develop training calendar(s) and plans aligning with maintaining high compliance levels
* Coordinate and deliver induction and onboarding programmes for new employees
* Conduct training needs analyses (TNA) to identify gaps and develop learning plans
* Support and mentor staff, fostering a positive and collaborative learning environment
* Utilise blended learning methods and adult learning principles to maximise engagement and competency
* Monitor and report on compliance with training and onboarding plans, escalating issues as required
* Collaborate with managers, HR, and clinical teams to ensure training aligns with organisational needs
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent
* Demonstrated experience in facilitating/delivering education and training programmes – ideally within residential aged care
* Strong understanding of workplace health and safety, Aged Care legislation and Quality Standards
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Willingness to support other homes when needed and obtain a police check
* Drivers licence and vehicle preferred – travel reimbursed; parking available
* Exceptional communication and organisational skills
Benefits
