Competitive salary and benefits:
We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.
Salary range: $132,562 to $143,924 p.a. (Nurse Grade 7)
4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available
About your opportunity
The Senior Mental Health Clinician will travel regularly to Palm Island (daily flights included) and will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and other service providers to provide specialist mental health and alcohol and drugs interventions for community members (and their families) across the lifespan who experience complex and severe problems relating to their mental health and/or alcohol, or other drug use disorders.
The Senior Mental Health Clinician will provide high level mental health clinical services and leadership within a multidisciplinary community mental health team for all consumers which is safe, of the highest quality possible, and in accordance with established professional standards and legislation.
The Senior Mental Health Clinician will work with the Rural and Remote executive team to develop and expand therapeutic programmes, working in partnership with consumers, and other local service providers.
Requirements:
Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration
Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory.
Nursing: Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
Driver Licence: This position requires the applicant to possess an appropriate license to operate a Class C (car) motor vehicle.
