Veterinary Receptionist – Specialist Hospital (Part-Time)

Clients are often navigating stressful and emotional circumstances, and your role as the first point of contact is vital in providing reassurance, clarity, and exceptional service from the moment they arrive or make contact.
About the Role
This is a varied and fast-paced front-of-house position where no two days are the same. You'll play a key role in coordinating client communications, managing specialist appointments, and supporting our clinical teams to ensure a smooth and seamless hospital experience for patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide a warm, welcoming, and empathetic experience for all clients and referring veterinarians
* Manage a high volume of incoming calls and coordinate appointments across multiple specialist departments
* Oversee patient admissions, discharges, and ongoing client communication with accuracy and care
* Work closely with veterinarians, nurses, and internal teams to support efficient workflow
* Process financial transactions, invoicing, and general administrative duties with precision
* Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold a high standard of professionalism at all times
About You
* Previous experience in reception, administration, or customer service (veterinary or medical experience highly regarded)
* Strong communication skills and confidence in handling sensitive or emotional conversations
* Highly organised, with the ability to multitask and prioritise in a busy environment
* A genuine team player who enjoys working collaboratively
* Exceptional attention to detail and pride in delivering quality work
* A sincere passion for animal care and supporting clients through their pet's journey
