As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an enthusiastic Digital System Analyst with demonstrated experience in the design, modelling and analysis of signal processing algorithms associated with complex digital systems.
This position is based in Fyshwick, Canberra. ADT may consider supporting relocation within Australia for the right candidate.

About the Role
Reporting to the relevant engineering lead, the Digital System Analyst is responsible for analysing, modelling and supporting the development of advanced digital and signal processing systems across ADT's active projects. The role contributes to algorithm design, system performance assessment, interpretation of measured data, and verification activities to ensure solutions meet technical and operational requirements.
This is an opportunity to work on complex technologies spanning digital signal processing, artificial intelligence and machine learning, advanced communications all within the electromagnetic environment. The successful candidate will bring strong analytical thinking and sound technical judgement, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve system understanding, support digital twin integration, scale it into a distributed computing environment and validate solutions against defined requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and support the development of algorithms for communications and electronic systems within an electromagnetic environment.
* Model system behaviour and perform performance analysis using measured data
* Support integration with digital twins to enhance system understanding and analysis
* Contribute to validation and verification activities to ensure multidisciplinary implementations meet defined requirements
About You
To succeed in this role, you will ideally bring a combination of the following:
* Tertiary qualifications in Digital Signal Processing or a closely related discipline. Candidates nearing completion of their studies may also be considered.
* Strong understanding of digital signal processing principles
* An appreciation of electromagnetics, including RF propagation
* Understanding of how electromagnetics influences system design
* High levels of initiative, accountability and work ethic
* A logical and structured approach to problem solving
* Curiosity, an inquiring mind, and a commitment to ongoing learning
* The ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
Desirable
Experience in modelling and analysis using MATLAB or Python will be highly regarded.
