About The Role
We are seeking a technically minded Application Specialist to provide high-level technical support across our Mobile plant product portfolio while working closely with customers, engineering, and sales teams to deliver practical and innovative solutions.
This role plays a key part in understanding customer challenges, collecting technical and operational data from site, and supporting the development and improvement of products and services. You will work closely with the Engineering Team Lead and broader technical teams to support product development, trials, performance reviews, and ongoing customer support.
The role offers a strong mix of site-based engagement, technical problem-solving, customer interaction, and engineering support within a collaborative mining and heavy industry environment.
Key Responsibilities Customer & Technical Support
* Provide technical support to customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders
* Conduct site visits to collect operational data, perform inspections, and support product performance reviews
* Assist in troubleshooting product issues and support failure investigationsDevelop and deliver technical presentations, reports, and product case studies
* Support engineering teams with customer data collection and reverse engineering activities including 3D scans and site measurements
* Assist with concept models, drawings, product specifications, and technical documentation
* Contribute to product improvement initiatives and innovation opportunities based on customer and market feedback
* Support product trials and validation activities in collaboration with sales and engineering teams
Design & Project Coordination
* Review customer specifications and communicate technical requirements to internal teams
* Assist with CAD models, drawings, bill of materials, and product documentation
* Support design reviews, interface checks, and safety-in-design considerations
* Ensure technical tasks are completed accurately and aligned with project priorities
* Maintain awareness of customer trends, operational challenges, and market opportunities
* Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety requirements, and internal procedures
* Support continuous improvement initiatives across products and processes
About You Qualifications & Experience
* Relevant technical qualification, trade background, foundry technology qualification, or equivalent heavy industry experience
* Experience within mining, foundry, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments is highly regarded
* CAD exposure or qualifications are advantageous
Technical Skills
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and CAD models
* Understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and industrial operations
* Strong technical problem-solving and analytical capability
* Experience with reverse engineering, inspections, or technical reporting is desirable
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Customer-focused approach with the ability to build strong working relationships
* Ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively across teams
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
This role is based in Burswood or Kalgoorlie.
IMP Note: We are open to considering candidates at either Applications Specialist or Applications Engineer level, depending on experience, technical capability and qualifications.
Candidates with tertiary qualifications in Engineering may be considered for the Applications Engineer pathway, while candidates with strong mobile plant, foundry, mining or heavy industry experience including those without a relevant degree are encouraged to apply for the Applications Specialist pathway.
