$120,000 + Veh Allow + Com OTE $150,000-$220,000+

Manage, win and grow serious OEM and distributor accounts.

Safiery is looking for a Senior Technical Sales Engineer to manage, win and grow OEM and distributor accounts across RV, truck, industrial, commercial vehicle and marine markets.

This is a technical account management and business development role — not retail sales, not end-user support, and not order-taking.

You will work with OEMs and distributors at a senior level, help facilitate larger commercial deals, manage important existing accounts, bring in new accounts, and continue developing the accounts you win.

You might already be in technical sales, business development, account management or application engineering.

Or you might be a marine electrician, RV electrical specialist, vehicle systems technician, solar/battery technician, automation technician or technical support person who understands the product world and wants to move into a more commercial role.

Either way, you need to be technically credible, commercially minded and confident dealing with serious customers.

Safiery designs and manufactures advanced power electronics, lithium battery systems, charging systems and control technology for RV, truck, marine, automotive and industrial applications.

Based on the Gold Coast, we supply OEMs, distributors and commercial partners across Australia and internationally. Around 70% of our business is export, so this role has a strong international focus.

Our product range includes:

* Scotty AI DC-DC converters
* BMG alternator and charging systems
* STAR Controllers
* Solid State Lithium battery systems
* Quasar control and operating systems
* Integrated power and energy system packages

We are a fast-moving Australian technology company with engineering, firmware, product and sales teams working together to deliver practical systems for demanding customers.

The Role

Your job will be to manage and grow existing OEM and distributor accounts, while also opening new opportunities and developing those relationships into long-term, repeatable business.

The main focus will be RV, truck, industrial and commercial vehicle markets, with some crossover into marine and other technical industries.

You will work with business owners, senior managers, engineers, product teams, purchasing teams and distributor networks. You will need to understand the customer's application, identify where Safiery products fit, explain the technical and commercial value, and help move opportunities through to supply agreements, repeat orders and account growth.

Because you will be close to OEMs and distributors, your feedback will also help shape Safiery's future product development. You will see the problems in the market and work with our engineering team to help define the products needed to solve them.

What You Will Be Doing

Day to day, you will:

* Manage and grow existing OEM, distributor and commercial accounts
* Identify and approach new OEM, distributor and commercial customers
* Develop sales opportunities across RV, truck, industrial and commercial vehicle markets
* Build relationships with senior decision-makers, engineers, purchasing teams and distributor partners
* Facilitate larger commercial deals with OEMs and distributors
* Manage the accounts you bring in and continue growing them over time
* Help customers select the right power, battery and control system packages
* Sell Safiery products including Scotty AI, BMG, STAR, Quasar and Solid State Lithium systems
* Prepare quotes, proposals, presentations and technical sales material
* Work with internal engineering and product teams to solve customer requirements
* Provide customer and market feedback to guide future product development
* Support distributors with product knowledge, training and sales development
* Maintain a strong pipeline of new and existing opportunities
* Travel to visit key customers in Australia and overseas
* Attend local and international trade shows

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role means managing existing OEM and distributor relationships well, opening new target accounts, building a healthy pipeline, converting opportunities into repeatable supply relationships, and helping Safiery identify product opportunities from the market.

We are looking for someone who can open doors, build trust, follow up properly, ask for the order and create large, long-term customer relationships.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone technical enough to earn the respect of engineers and installers, but commercial enough to manage accounts and drive opportunities forward.

You may come from a background such as:

* Technical Sales Engineer
* Business Development Manager
* Account Manager
* Application Engineer
* OEM Account Manager
* RV Electrical Specialist
* Truck or vehicle systems technician
* Solar and battery technician
* Technical support specialist
* Power electronics or battery systems specialist

Experience in RV, truck, commercial vehicle, industrial, solar, battery, DC power, vehicle electrical, automation or marine electrical markets will be highly regarded.

Formal sales or account management experience is not the only pathway into this role, but you must be comfortable opening new conversations, following up opportunities, managing commercial relationships and asking for the order.

Understand electrical, battery, solar, DC power, vehicle or control systems

Can explain technical ideas clearly to business customers

Are confident speaking with OEMs, distributors and industry partners

Enjoy managing accounts and building long-term relationships

Can open new accounts as well as grow existing ones

Are comfortable dealing with senior decision-makers

Can follow up opportunities and move deals forward

Like solving problems rather than just taking orders

Can identify product gaps and communicate useful market feedback

Are organised, self-driven and commercially minded

Are comfortable travelling within Australia and overseas

Would enjoy attending international trade shows and meeting global customers

What Is On Offer

Base salary of $100,000–$120,000 depending on experience

On-target earnings of $150,000–$220,000+

Vehicle allowance

Fuel reimbursed for business travel

Laptop and technology allowance

12% superannuation

Sales commission of 20% of net margin, capped at $15,000 per month

December/January company shutdown

Why This Role Is Different

This is not a local rep job and it is not a simple product sales role.

Safiery exports around 70% of its sales, so this position gives you exposure to international customers, distributors, markets and trade shows.

Our customers are technical and commercial. They need someone who can understand the system, explain the product, manage relationships, build trust with their team and help larger opportunities move forward.

This is also not a role where sales is disconnected from product. Your feedback from OEMs, distributors and industry partners will help influence what Safiery builds next.

You will be involved in both account management and new business development, with the opportunity to help shape long-term supply relationships in RV, truck, industrial, commercial vehicle and marine markets.
