Engineer - Data & Carbon Solutions
We are seeking an early career engineer or scientist to join our team in a high-impact role that sits at the heart of how we measure, allocate and report production and emissions.
As a key member of our team, you will support daily, monthly and annual hydrocarbon allocation across operated assets, validating models with historian and production accounting systems. You will maintain data quality and auditability across proprietary databases and allocation software, building queries, reports and dashboards in SQL/Power BI.
You will also reconcile production data through the allocation process and prepare required internal, state, and federal reports in collaboration with the Operations, Finance, and Commercial teams. Additionally, you will develop an understanding of emission generation pathways and accurately link each source to reporting categories required under the relevant legislation, reconciling activity data across production, sustainability, and finance.
To be successful in this role, you will apply data science techniques and statistical tools to surface trends and insights that improve surveillance and decision making. You will contribute to continuous improvement by enhancing procedures, work instructions and assurance processes.
The ideal candidate is curious, collaborative and comfortable working with numbers and systems. They hold a relevant degree in engineering or science (chemical or chemistry preferred) and bring some relevant experience in technical or data-focused roles. They are skilled in data analysis and familiar with production systems, using tools like SQL, Power BI, or Excel to ensure accuracy and reliability.
