Human Resources Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Human Resources Coordinator to join our growing organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated HR professional who is passionate about supporting people, driving compliance, and fostering a positive workplace culture.
You will have access to external HR advisors (Peninsula) as a key resource to support complex employee relations, compliance, and award interpretation matters.

About the Role
The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for providing expert HR advice, coordination, administration and support across a broad range of human resource functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, workplace health and safety, policy development, workforce compliance and staff engagement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and support all areas of Human Resources including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, workplace investigations, grievances, dispute resolution, rehabilitation and return-to-work processes.
* Provide timely and accurate advice to managers and employees regarding HR policies, procedures, employment legislation and workplace matters.
* Monitor relevant legislation and industry developments to ensure organisational compliance.
* Develop, review and maintain employment contracts, position descriptions, policies, procedures and HR documentation.
* Manage employee relations matters including performance reviews, disciplinary processes, complaints, investigations and workplace concerns.
* Maintain accurate and confidential HR records, systems and databases.
* Facilitate HR training, workshops and staff education initiatives.
* Support organisational initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement, performance and workplace culture.
* Oversee and provide guidance to a small team.
* Assist with workforce planning, reporting, compliance audits and HR projects.
About You
We're looking for someone with:
* Demonstrated experience in a Human Resources Coordinator, HR Advisor or similar role.
* Sound knowledge and understanding of the NDIS Practice Standards.
* Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation, including the Fair Work Act 2009, National Employment Standards and relevant Modern Awards, particularly the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award.
* Strong experience in employee relations, performance management and workplace investigations.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
* High attention to detail and strong administrative capabilities.
* The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
* A commitment to confidentiality, professionalism and ethical practice
Mandatory Requirements
* Relevant qualifications in Human Resources, Business, Management or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.
* QLD Working with Children Check – No Card/No Start
* NDIS Worker Screening Check – No Card/No Start
* Valid driver's licence
* Completed NDIS Worker Orientation Module & Supporting Safe and Enjoyable Meals Module
* Full working rights in Australia
