An opportunity has arisen for an experienced finance professional to join the team on an initial 6-month contract commencing Monday 25th May.
The Position
Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this role will play a key part in supporting the organisation's high-volume reconciliation processes across multiple entities.
The position will have a strong operational accounting focus, with responsibilities including:
* High-volume credit card reconciliations
* Investigating and resolving reconciliation discrepancies
* Tender, cash and EFTPOS reconciliations across multiple entities
* Downloading and reconciling statements against supporting documentation
* Balance sheet reconciliations
* Assisting with accounts payable related tasks
* Supporting process improvement initiatives and identifying opportunities to streamline workflows
* Providing broader support to the finance team as required
This role will suit someone who enjoys investigative work, has exceptional attention to detail and is comfortable working through large transaction volumes in a deadline-driven environment.

Candidate Profile
To be successful in this position, you will ideally possess:
* Strong reconciliation experience within a medium to large organisation
* Proven experience managing high-volume credit card reconciliations
* Solid understanding of debits and credits
* Financial accounting or assistant accounting experience
* Experience with balance sheet reconciliations
* Strong analytical and investigative skills
* High attention to detail and ability to problem solve
* Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities
* Immediate or short notice availability highly regarded
