The Role:
The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) is an experienced nurse responsible for ensuring efficient and effective provision of care within the EMU. The ANUM works in partnership with the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) and senior staff to coordinate day‐to‐day patient care, including patient flow, staffing and resource management. The role also involves providing operational leadership and engaging with workforce planning initiatives.
Responsibilities:
* Work in partnership with the NUM and senior staff to ensure efficient care delivery.
* Assist the NUM in planning and managing staff and resources, coordinating day‐to‐day patient care activities and patient flow.
* Provide operational leadership during shift operations.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Demonstrated clinical experience in the relevant practice area with ability to exercise professional judgement and leadership.
* Understanding of the business of the unit/service, including patient flow and discharge planning.
* Ability to contribute to evaluation, innovation and development of services and review of clinical practice policy, procedures and protocols.
* Registered Nurse registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
Desirable:
* Relevant postgraduate qualifications.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary range: $109,767 to $115,813 per annum (pro‐rata). Superannuation contribution 12%.
Possible Post Graduate Allowance up to 10% based on qualification.

Employment Details:
Flexible shift work up to 76 hours fortnightly. Multiple fixed‐term, full‐time and part‐time positions. Applications accepted until 15 June 2026.
