Nexus Airlines is currently seeking a Reservation Coordinatorto join our team based in Broome.
About the role
As a Reservations Coordinator You will be responsible for providing customer service to passengers by booking flight reservations, answering inquiries, and providing information about flight schedules, fares, and policies. You must be knowledgeable about the airline's policies, procedures, and destinations to ensure that passengers have a pleasant travel experience. You are also responsible for accurately inputting and maintaining flight information in the airline's reservation systems.
Key duties and responsibilities of the role include:
* Main point of contact for all customers, responding promptly to enquiries, and making providing excellent customer service based on customer travel requirements.
* Responsible for providing customers with information on airline services, fares and schedules and special service requests.
* Address customer complaints and resolve issues promptly as the Customer Service department.
* Delivery and management of bookings, including but not limited to: ticketing and processing payments, refunds, cancellations, rescheduling, seating, special accommodations and resolving any issues that may arise with bookings
* Oversight of revenue management functions under instruction from the Operations Manager, including but not limited to: Fare management, Sales and promotions, Ticketing packages and Document control of flyers and brochures on itineraries and fare class rules
* Delivery and management of fares and schedule in reservations systems under instruction from the Operations Manager, including but not limited to: Fare upload, Schedule upload, GDS upload
* Assist the Operations team in management and rescheduling of bookings during disrupt procedures. Including managing passenger updates and handling phone or email enquiries in a timely manner.
* Reporting and record keeping of business and reservation matters for internal and external review.
* Be responsible for a variety of administrative functions that support the Operations Manager, Operations Team, and third-party suppliers.
To be successful in this role:
* Ability to maintain a relaxed and professional nature when dealing with high stress situations.
* Experience in a customer service role within aviation or relevant industry. Working experience with GDS systems such as Sabre is highly desirable.
* Experience with IT systems such as Takeflite and/or other similar scheduling or reservations software.
* Ability to work after hours, Public Holidays and rotating shifts.
* Exceptional communication skills (both verbal and written) with the ability to resolve conflicts with calmness and professionalism.
* High level of computer literacy including advance proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Ability to interpret, understand and clearly communicate fare rules, terms & conditions.
* Capability to hold dangerous goods certificate .
