Lead Kitchen Manager Position


We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Kitchen Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring that high-quality food is prepared and served to residents.


The ideal candidate will have a Certificate III or higher in Commercial Cookery, as well as a strong understanding of food safety and quality control procedures. They will also possess excellent leadership skills and be able to motivate and train kitchen staff to meet the highest standards.



Responsibilities


* Maintain high standards of preparation and presentation of food and drink.

* Supervise and coordinate the work of kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective operation of the kitchen.

* Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of residents.

* Ensure all aspects of the kitchen are thoroughly cleaned before and after food preparation.

* Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as necessary.




Requirements


* Certificate III or higher in Commercial Cookery.

* Food Safety Supervisors certificate – desirable.

* Strong leadership and communication skills.

* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

* Previous experience in Aged Care or the Health sector will be an advantage.
