About the Role
We are a dynamic 24‑bed unit that cares for patients with varying complexities of cardiology and cardiothoracic care needs.
Procedures managed on the ward include :
* Pre and postoperative coronary angiograms / stents, PPMs, ICDs, EPS / ablations, PVI.
* Structural heart procedures – TAVI, LAAO, PFO & ASD closures, Mitra clips.
* CABG, valve replacements, PEARS procedures.
* VATS / anatomical resections, pleurodesis, biopsies.
As the unit continues to expand and thrive we are looking for enthusiastic, experienced RNs to join the team.
About You
Essential Criteria :
* Current registration with the AHPRA
* Minimum 3 years recent cardiothoracic / cardiology / CCU / critical care cardiac experience
* Ability to interpret complex ECGs and appropriately escalated care needs of the individual.
* Excellent written and verbal communication
Desirable Criteria :
* Established experience in UWSD management and removal of pacing wires, UWSD, and arterial lines.
* Postgraduate qualifications in Critical Care (cardiology or cardiothoracic) or working towards.
* ALS qualification.
Remuneration :
On offer is a base hourly rate of $37.75 – $53.02 superannuation based on experience level and qualifications exclusive of penalties or allowances (NSW RN / Midwife gr1‑gr8).
