Position Description
Women in Media is seeking an experienced, commercially minded, and outcomes-driven professional to lead sales, partnership engagement, and participant coordination for our Leadership Programs:
* Empowering Leadership Program (ELP) – a 38-week intensive for mid to senior-level women, delivered in partnership with employers.
* Masterclasses + Group Coaching (M+GC) – a 12-week skills-focused program for emerging women leaders in media, launching in 2026
This is a high-impact, growth-focused role sitting at the intersection of media, leadership development, and gender equity. You will represent Women in Media to senior stakeholders across media and adjacent sectors, tailoring partnership approaches to meet employer goals while ensuring a strong participant experience and seamless program delivery.
As Sales Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in securing employer sponsors and program participants, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and contributing to the long-term commercial sustainability and industry impact of these nationally recognised programs.
The successful candidate will bring a strong understanding of the Australian media sector, HR and workforce development expertise, and a genuine passion for empowering the next generation of women leaders.

Women in Media (WiM) is a national not-for-profit, DGR-registered charity that supports women working in all forms of media – including journalism, production, communications, PR, advertising, marketing, and digital media.
Our initiatives aim to increase gender equality, extend leadership and economic participation opportunities for women, and build a safer, more respectful culture in Australian workplaces. With over 6,700 members and a growing national footprint, we are driving systemic change through leadership development, research, advocacy, and connection.

Since its inception, 52 exceptional women from 15 organisations have completed this six- month program. Delivered in partnership with Nudge Leadership, it’s designed for those with demanding careers, offering regular, bite-sized sessions that support women to lead with clarity, confidence, and purpose.

Position Objectives
* Increase employer participation in the Empowering Women in Media Leadership Program (ELP) and M+GC programs.
* Develop and convert a pipeline of new and returning partner organisations
* Coordinate participant logistics and stakeholder communication
* Collaborate with Women in Media and delivery partner Nudge to ensure effective program marketing, alumni engagement, and impact storytelling.
* Contribute to the commercial sustainability of Women in Media’s leadership offerings
Key Responsibilities
* Drive uptake of employer-sponsored and consumer enrolments across ELP and M+GC
* Develop and convert a strong pipeline of partnerships with media and adjacent sector employers
* Engage with HR, L&D, and senior leadership stakeholders to champion program adoption
* Tailor partnership packages to align with employer goals including talent development, retention, and other targets
* Secure multi-year ELP partnerships and drive consumer registrations for M+GC
* Collaborate with the WiM team to support philanthropic or sponsorship opportunities.
* Articulate program value using impact data and participant success stories
* Work closely with delivery partners (e.g., Nudge) to ensure seamless program delivery
* Ensure alignment with WiM’s broader strategic goals and calendar
Reporting & Evaluation
* Monitor and report on sales progress, impact metrics, and satisfaction levels
* Contribute to quarterly and annual reporting to board and funders
* Provide insight for continuous improvement across program, sales, and communication
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are seeking an individual who is commercially savvy, highly organised, and passionate about women’s leadership. You will bring:
* A strong understanding of the Australian media landscape and adjacent sectors, networks, and insight into workforce dynamics.
* A proven track record in sales, business development, or partnerships, ideally in HR, education, or leadership development.
* Demonstrated success achieving sales or partnership revenue.
* Experience navigating employer-sponsored L&D or HR partnership channels and DEI funding pathways.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, especially with HR, L&D, and executive leaders.
* Strong communication and relationship management abilities with the ability to influence senior decision-makers.
* Excellent organisational and project coordination abilities.
* Skilled in designing and executing sales pipelines using CRM tools or spreadsheets.
* Experience with not-for-profits, philanthropic partnerships, or gender equity programs (desirable).
* A self-starter mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities remotely.
* A values-driven approach and commitment to gender equity and women’s advancement.
Performance Measures (KPIs):
* Participant numbers secured per intake
* Achieve target number of new employer partnerships and returning partners
* Conversion rate from employer outreach to confirmed enrolments
* Quality of program coordination and stakeholder satisfaction
Contract and Reporting
This is a contractor engagement reporting to the GM (or designate). The consultant will work independently and collaboratively with Women in Media and its delivery partners. The engagement is scoped at approximately 6 hours per week for up to 42 weeks, with flexibility depending on delivery cycles and program needs.
