What You'll Be Doing:
* Provide recovery focused, person‑centred and culturally competent services including assessment, care coordination, intervention, liaison, advocacy and review as part of a multidisciplinary team for Aboriginal and non‑Aboriginal people referred with mental illness, distress and/or risk issues.
* Deliver culturally safe care and engage with consumers, families, carers and community stakeholders.
* Collaborate with the Aboriginal Health Worker team to bridge cultural connections and advocate for patients.

Selection Criteria:
* Must be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent and have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures with established links to the local Aboriginal community.
* Tertiary qualification Bachelor Health Science (Mental Health) or registration with AHPRA for Registered Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists or eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers for Social Workers.
* Demonstrated ability to provide high‑quality, safe and connected care to consumers and their families and carers in a person‑centred and holistic manner that promotes self‑determination and is in context of the principles of mental health rehabilitation, recovery framework and a strengths‑based approach.
* Demonstrated high‑level communication skills with the ability to engage and collaborate with consumers, their families and carers and other stakeholders.
* High‑level computer skills including accuracy and demonstrated knowledge of Electronic Medical Record Programs, Microsoft Office Programs including Skype for Business.
* Knowledge and understanding of the Mental Health & Alcohol and Other Drugs strategic directions in service provision, including those related to Aboriginal People and their communities.
* Knowledge of legislation and policies relating to Mental Health care provision, including the Mental Health Act 2007.
* Current unrestricted driver's licence and ability to maintain. Willingness to drive/travel as the role requires; this may involve driving long distances and overnight stays.
