About the role
As an Inclusion Support Additional Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting Educators to make a difference in a child's early education journey. Each day you engage with energetic children as they learn and grow through play in the kindergarten environment, including children with disabilities and higher support needs.
Salary: $27.63-$33.24 per hour + super (dependent on qualifications).
Position: Permanent part‐time, available during the school term only. Working days: Tuesday and Thursday, 10:00am–3:00pm (10 hours per week).
Duties
* Support children by implementing behaviour management plans and individual strategies tailored to their needs.
* Work collaboratively with the education team, modelling a consistent and positive approach.
* Show initiative to create an inclusive, supportive, and engaging environment for all children.
* Access funded training and professional development opportunities to build your skills in inclusive education.
Qualifications
* Enthusiasm, patience, and a genuine interest in supporting children of all abilities.
* Passion for connecting with young children, keeping them engaged in play‐based learning, and celebrating their growth and development.
* Working with Children Check and completion of the National Child Safety Training (or willingness to obtain).
* Relevant qualification – not required, but it will attract a higher hourly rate.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to problem‐solve.
* Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work cohesively in a team environment.
