Wall & Floor Tiler & Apprentice Tiler Positions Available
Wollongong Contemporary Tiling (WCT) is looking to expand our team and currently has opportunities available for both:
* A qualified Wall & Floor Tiler
* An Apprentice Tiler (current or new apprentice)
Qualified Wall & Floor Tiler
We're looking for an experienced and reliable tiler with strong attention to detail and pride in their workmanship.
Responsibilities
* Preparing and tiling floors, walls, and other surfaces
* Reading and interpreting plans and job specifications
* Cutting and trimming tiles using specialised tools
* Waterproofing in accordance with Australian standards
* Ensuring high-quality finishes and safe work practices
* Working independently and as part of a team
* Communicating professionally with clients and other trades
Requirements
* Certificate III in Wall & Floor Tiling
* Experience in residential and/or commercial tiling
* White Card
* Driver's licence
* Provisional licence required as minimum driver's licence qualification
* Strong work ethic and reliability
* Australian citizenship required for this position
Apprentice Tiler
We're also seeking a motivated apprentice tiler — either currently completing an apprenticeship or ready to begin one.
Responsibilities
* Assisting qualified tilers onsite
* Learning floor and wall tiling techniques
* Mixing and applying adhesives, grouts, and sealants
* Assisting with waterproofing and site preparation
* Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
* Developing skills across residential and commercial projects
Requirements
* Genuine interest in the tiling trade
* Positive attitude and willingness to learn
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks
* White Card (or willingness to obtain)
* Driver's licence preferred
* Provisional licence required as minimum driver's licence qualification
* Australian citizenship required for this position
