Ecologist Job Opportunity
This is a remote ecological position that offers flexibility in location and work hours, providing a unique chance for individuals to contribute to biodiversity stewardship and restoration work.
* We are seeking an experienced Ecologist to conduct field surveys, including flora and fauna assessments, in accordance with the NSW Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM).
* The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality technical reports, such as Biodiversity Development Assessment Reports (BDARs) and Biodiversity Stewardship Site Assessment Reports (BSSARs).
* Liaising with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders to provide expert ecological advice and ensure project objectives are met.
* Managing multiple projects independently, ensuring quality, timelines, and deliverables are maintained.
Key Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in Ecology, Botany, Environmental Science, or a related field.
* BAM Accredited Assessor (or currently working towards accreditation).
* Strong flora survey and native plant identification skills, with qualifications in botany highly regarded.
* Experience in fauna survey techniques, species identification, and habitat assessments would be advantageous.
