Duties and Responsibilities
* Main support and repairs technical equipment, including desktops, printers, smart boards, projectors, AV equipment and peripherals.
* Main computer hard drive images and regularly re-images machines.
* Develop a maintenance schedule for all computer hardware, software and networks, and ensure that it is followed.
* Manage the structure of our clients' internet and internal systems and contribute to their development.
* Monitor the efficiency of our clients' networks.
* Ensure routing safety checks, including electrical tests, are carried out and appropriate records are maintained.
* Diagnose and resolve most PC, printer and peripheral device faults.
* Maintain electronic mail account and implement where appropriate.
* Ensure the safe disposal of obsolete equipment, used consumables and waste materials in line with recognised procedures and legal requirements.
* Respond to web help desk service requests and maintain accurate task log.
* Maintain accurate inventory database.
* Record problems and their solutions for future reference.
* Order equipment and supplies.
* Perform basic server and network diagnostic routines.
* Perform checks to ensure that broadband connectivity is maintained.
* Give clients some guidance on the ICT acceptable use policy.
* Work out the reasons for a fault and explain these to the client.
Skills & Experience
* Qualification: Diploma of IT or IT Degree.
* Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience.
