Senior Accountant
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation and reconciliation of financial statements and reports
* General ledger and journal entries and processing, month‐end closure processes
* Timely and accurate completion of month‐end and year‐end reporting, including full balance sheet monthly reconciliations
* Oversight and reconciliation of floorplan facilities and vehicle stock funding
* Data analysis and reporting
* Assisting with report preparation, payroll records, expense reviews, maintenance of financial databases, month‐end and year‐end close processes, floorplan reconciliation and BAS preparation
* Preparation of month‐end management accounts, general ledger maintenance, month‐end closure including accruals, prepayments, capital purchases, payroll journals and stock maintenance
* Preparation of annual financial statements
* Assist managers and team members when required
About You
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce or Finance
* Minimum 4+ years' accounting experience in a commercial or public practice environment
* CPA or CA qualified (or nearing completion) highly regarded
* Strong technical accounting and analytical skills
* Automotive or dealership experience preferred
* Advanced attention to detail with a strong compliance and process focus
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast‐paced environment
* Professional, motivated and career‐focused with the ability to work autonomously and within a team
* Proactive attitude with a willingness to take initiative and meet deadlines
