Our Geelong based client is a leading process engineering company who specializes in making fire sprinkler systems. They have an opportunity for an experienced metal fabricator to join their team, on a full-time casual basis, with a view to join the team permanently! About the role: The Fabricator is responsible for reading fabrication sheets, processing and fabricating various metal types and following production schedules. Monday-Friday 7am-3.30pm with an early finish Friday (38 hour week with overtime available) Duties include: Reading fabrication sheets, drawings, work orders and production schedules to determine product of job instructions and specifications Operation of tools, plant equipment, maintenance of equipment and use of appropriate PPE Detecting faulty operation of equipment or defective materials Performing physical labouring such as adjusting heavy objects and cleaning worksite Maintaining timesheets and drawings records What you must have: Minimum 3 years experience with steel fabrication Experienced using tools such as bandsaw, coldsaw, grinders & drill press Drivers license and reliable transport Full, unrestricted working rights in Australia Key capabilities: Able to read and interpret fabrication sheets & workshop drawings OH&S understanding Strong English reading, speaking, listening and writing skills Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines Experience in managing & organizing work and self to meet deadlines If you meet ALL of the job requirements please APPLY NOW to join the Flexi Personnel Team! * Please note only those who are shirtlisted will be contacted.
