For nearly forty years SCEA has been a part of the Christian educational community of Perth since its humble beginnings in Midland in 1982. Today, Swan Christian Education Association (SCEA) is a not‐for‐profit association with more than 5,000 students, more than 1,000 staff and seven schools across the Perth metropolitan area.

We invite applications to be a part of SCEA's Relief Education Assistants register. You can nominate to work at any of our seven schools.

You will support students' wellbeing and learning with care and compassion, work collaboratively with staff and families, assist students with special needs, and engage in ongoing professional growth. This is more than just an educator position – it's a calling to represent Christ through service, connect authentically with families, and support the flourishing of our school community.

Key Responsibilities
* Demonstrate care, compassion, and support for the spiritual, emotional, and social development of students.
* Understand and uphold your role in safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
* Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and model the school's staff values of relationships, respect, collaboration, teamwork, responsibility, and accountability.
* Work sensitively and proactively with students, including those with special needs, to support positive outcomes.
* Build and maintain open, positive relationships with families, students, and colleagues to enhance learning and wellbeing.
* Engage in ongoing professional growth, take direction from teachers, and collaborate regularly regarding student progress and support.
Essential Selection Criteria
* To have a personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and be an active member of a Christian Church.
* To accept the Association's Statement of Faith, Foundational Statements of Belief and Educational Objectives and be living a lifestyle consistent with those statements.
* The ability to build and maintain strong healthy relationships between families, the SCEA Head Office staff and the College.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
* Highly organised and able to prioritise workloads.
* Exceptional problem‐solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions in a narrow time frame.
* Proven ability to show initiative and take direction.
* Be a self‐motivated learner with a willingness to develop as an educator.
Desirable
* Ability to foster creativity in students.
* Strong literacy and numeracy knowledge.
* Recent professional development relating to student support.
* Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and EAs.
* Highly organised.
* A motivator and a team builder.
