Pharmaceutical Cleaner – Immediate Start
Full-time | 24‐month contract
Monday to Friday | 7am‐3pm
Location: North Ryde (Sydney NSW) – On‐site parking and close to public transport
Competitive pay: From $29.03 per hour + super + shift loading, and allowances as applicable.
AstraZeneca is seeking a dedicated Pharmaceutical Cleaner to join our supportive team at our North Ryde Manufacturing Plant. We offer steady hours, full training, and a positive, respectful work environment where your commitment to cleanliness helps make life‐changing medicines possible.
Experience working as a cleaner—especially in hospitals, food manufacturing, hotels, aged care, or any highly regulated environment—would make you a strong fit.

What You'll Do
* Follow strict cleaning schedules for different areas of the factory, including both production and office spaces, to meet high hygiene standards
* Clean areas to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards
* Use and care for powered cleaning equipment (training provided)
* Manage waste and recycling following our sustainability goals
* Fill in cleaning records and logbooks after your shift so we can track and check our standards
* Support regular hygiene audits to keep our cleaning on track and ready for inspection
* Follow clear rules for security and report any incidents or accidents
* Work well in a team and communicate effectively with others
Essential For The Role
* Previous experience in a cleaning role in hospitals, food manufacturing, hotels, aged care, or any highly regulated environment
* Physically fit and comfortable with repetitive work, lifting, and use of cleaning equipment
* Basic confidence using computers or mobile devices (for training or filling out forms)
* Reliable, hard‐working, and ready to work as part of a team
Desirable Skills & Experience
* Knowledge or experience in pharmaceutical or food production cleaning or in hospital, hotel, or aged care settings
* Some understanding of GMP compliance in cleaning or HACCP (food safety guidelines) or experience supporting hygiene inspection
* Comfortable working with cleaning schedules and tick‐lists to keep on top of daily jobs
