Job Title: Mental Health Nurse Specialist
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mental Health Nurse to join our dynamic team at the Northwest Regional Hospital in Tasmania.
The role is focused on delivering high-quality nursing care to patients with mental health needs, working collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
In this challenging yet rewarding position, you will have the opportunity to support patients through assessment, treatment, and recovery planning, contributing to a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess sound interpersonal and communication skills, including written skills and the ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
You will also require knowledge of continuous quality improvement (safety and quality) and the application of evidence-based practice in the practice setting, as well as the ability to undertake patient/client education and participate in ongoing professional development.
The successful candidate will be appointed on a fixed-term full-time or part-time basis, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, with flexible hours to be negotiated with the applicant.
The salary range for this position is $78,179 to $105,995 per annum, pro rata, with opportunities for progression to Grade 4.
