Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cook to join the Community Kids Thornton team. The role involves producing high‐quality, nutritious meals and snacks for up to 91 children each day.
Responsibilities
* Prepare meals and snacks for children.
* Plan menu, budget, and manage stock ordering & control.
* Ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment in accordance with food safety regulations.
* Meet dietary and allergy safe requirements.
* Work set shift days and times Monday to Friday.
Qualifications
* Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or an ACECQA approved Early Childhood qualification with experience in a cook role.
* Current Working with Children's Check and First Aid.
* Completed or willing to complete Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
* Experience in menu planning, budgeting, stock ordering & control; dietary and allergy safe requirements; clean & safe kitchen environment; teamwork and communication skills.
