About the Role
We are seeking a hands‐on Electrician / Electrical Technician to support and grow into a key role within our business.
Based in Kwinana you'll work alongside and be mentored by our WA Maintenance Manager, supporting the maintenance, and delivery of specialised machinery used across ports in Western Australia. This role is ideal for someone with vast electrical technical experience who enjoys both fault finding and practical work—and is ready to step into a long‐term career pathway.
What You Will Be Doing
You'll play a central role in managing and supporting maintenance programs and coordinating the upkeep and reliability of our machinery. Your work will include:
* Coordinating maintenance projects across workshop and port operations
* Diagnose faults, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure operational readiness
* Work safely and consistently in line with electrical standards, company procedures, and safety regulations
* Carry out electrical repairs to Generators, Compressors, Hoppers, Grabs and other Stevens equipment including our flagship Enviro Hoppers
* Communicating with clients, suppliers, stevedores, port authorities, and internal teams
* Assisting with repairs, servicing, and maintenance of specialised equipment
* Provide assessment and follow up of equipment issues impacting plant performance
* Perform equipment inspections as well as detailed planning and condition monitoring of equipment
* Perform safe, efficient and effective emergency repairs
* Fault‐find on electrical equipment including PLC's, drives and instrumentation systems
* Getting hands‐on—this is a practical, mixed role
This position offers significant exposure to our grab and hopper systems, unique machinery designs, and statewide projects.

What You Bring
We're looking for someone who is practical, motivated, and confident working across maintenance activities.
You will bring with you:
* A minimum of 2–3 years of electrical trade experience is required for this position.
* Electrical Trade Certificate (essential)
* WA 'A Grade' Electrical Workers Licence (desirable)
* High Risk Work Licence – (desirable)
* Strong planning and organising skills to schedule and complete tasks;
* Experience working with PLC's and technology systems
* A minimum of 1–2 years of PLC experience is required for this role.
* Ability to understand wiring diagrams
* Ability to work well with others in a team environment as well as work unsupervised;
* Good verbal and written communication skills;
* Confidence working with drawings, specifications, and QA processes
* A proactive, problem‐solving mindset
* Flexibility for weekend or out‐of‐hours work (port operations run 24/7)
* Licences such as Forklift, EWP, Working at Heights, MSIC pass will be highly regarded.
* MSIC (Maritime Security Identification Card) must be obtained within 3 months of commencement.
