Spotlight Retail Group (SRG), the powerhouse behind Australia's most iconic brands — Spotlight, Anaconda, and Harris Scarfe — is looking for a dynamic Marketing Manager to lead our Campaigns and Partnerships team.
Based in our modern South Melbourne support office, you will orchestrate high‐impact, rolling 12‐month brand campaigns and manage crucial commercial partnerships. This role is a perfect next step for an established Marketing Lead with prior retail experience and leadership background who thrives in a fast‐paced environment.
What You'll Do
* Build & Deliver: Collaborate with the Head of Marketing to develop and execute a rolling 12‐month brand campaign and partnership calendar across all categories and regions.
* End‐to‐End Management: Lead all channels to market for brand campaigns, creative decks, approval processes, and campaign summary decks.
* Budgeting: Oversee the Campaigns, Partnerships, and PR budgets, including seamless invoice processing and tactical upweights.
2. Partnerships & PR
* Negotiation & Growth: Lead partnership contract negotiations and relationship management to fulfil KPIs and contract agreements.
* PR Strategy: Work alongside the Head of Marketing, our internal PR Specialist, and an external agency to develop the yearly PR strategy.
3. Stakeholder & Team Leadership
* Collaborative Impact: Lead WIP meetings with Merchandise teams and partnership entities to drive sales, supplier satisfaction, and maximised ROI.
* People Management: Recruit, train, and mentor a talented team, managing the daily workflows of our PR Specialist and Senior Marketing Coordinator.
* Insights: Take ownership of Post‐Implementation Reviews (PIR) and Business Review Meetings (BRM) reporting.
What We're Looking For
* Experience: 5+ years of experience in a marketing campaign or marketing manager role.
* Industry Background: Prior experience within a retail marketing function is highly desirable.
* Leadership Track Record: Proven leadership experience, with a background managing at least 1–2 direct or indirect reports.
* Education: A tertiary degree in Marketing or Business.
* Key Skills: High attention to detail, exceptional organisational skills, and agility to adapt to a fast‐paced retail environment.
* Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong ability to manage cross‐functional stakeholders autonomously.
* Systems: A willingness to learn new programmes to optimise campaign reporting.
