About the Role
We are looking for a gifted Technical Writer for a 12-month contract. Your primary mission will be to take highly complex technical data, engineering concepts, and regulatory frameworks, and translate them into crystal‐clear, plain‐language documentation for stakeholders and the public.
Key Responsibilities
* Translate highly technical, engineering, and energy sector information into engaging, easily understood plain‐language documents.
* Produce high‐quality technical reports, guidelines, executive summaries, and stakeholder documentation.
* Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and policy experts to gather accurate information.
* Maintain rigorous quality control, ensuring exceptional attention to detail across all written deliverables.
Skills & Experience
* Demonstrated experience as a Technical Writer, ideally within a technical, infrastructure, or government setting.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a knack for clarifying complex concepts.
* Meticulous attention to detail and proofreading standards.
* A Degree in Engineering or another technical discipline is essential.
* Prior knowledge of the energy industry and/or electricity transmission is highly advantageous.
