We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Corporate Planning Officer to join our Corporate Strategy & Performance Directorate; an area that plays a key role in shaping how the City operates, plans and performs.
About the Role
Reporting to the Manager Corporate Planning, Performance and Improvement, you will help drive the City's annual and long-term strategic corporate planning processes.
In this role, you will:
Facilitate the development, implementation and review of strategic corporate plans in line with statutory and corporate planning frameworks
Engage with leaders, employees, government agencies, consultants and community stakeholders to support effective planning and performance
Coordinate and deliver workshops, analyse emerging issues, develop evidence-based recommendations and provide expert advice
Prepare high-quality reports and contribute to ongoing business improvement initiatives
Support the development and enhancement of tools, systems and processes that strengthen corporate planning capability across the City.
This is a dynamic position that requires credibility, strong stakeholder relationships and the ability to navigate changing organisational priorities.

Qualifications & Experience
Tertiary qualifications in business, commerce or a relevant discipline, or significant relevant experience
Experience in a similar corporate/business planning role
Experience engaging stakeholders and facilitating workshops
Intermediate to advanced capability in information systems and technology
Skills
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Local Government Act
Excellent communication, research, analysis and problem-solving skills
High-level organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
Strong negotiation, influencing and customer service skills
Ability to work with discretion, initiative and sound judgement
