Due to company growth, we are seeking an enthusiastic Business Development Specialist to join our nationwide distribution team. iExtend primarily operates a B2B product distribution, education, and marketing model, engaging mainly with financial advisers and planners. This office-based role in Sydney involves new business lead generation and relationship building to identify opportunities for iExtend’s offerings in the retail life insurance space.

We Are Looking for Someone Who:
* Can identify new business and referral opportunities in the independent financial advice market (IFA).
* Has at least 2+ years’ experience with B2B outbound approaches and a proven track record of meeting targets; insurance experience is preferred.
* Possesses strong multi-tasking and self-management skills to balance outreach, follow-ups, and administrative tasks.
* Is well-presented with outstanding communication skills and a positive attitude.
* Can work autonomously and as part of a team to achieve goals.
* Has familiarity with product structures such as life insurance, trauma, TPD, or experience with PDS-driven distribution processes (willingness to learn is acceptable).
* Has strong analytical skills to interpret data effectively.
* Has experience using Salesforce or similar CRM tools to manage leads and track activities.
* Is a high-energy, solution-driven self-starter.
* Is RG146 compliant or willing to obtain compliance to give General Advice in Superannuation and Insurance.
* Knowledge of the financial adviser community is desirable.
* Holds a University Degree or Diploma in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related fields, which is desirable.
What You Will Do:
* Lead Generation: Proactively generate leads via phone, email, LinkedIn, and other channels.
* Educate: Work with financial advisers to introduce iExtend’s offerings and support their integration.
* Distribution Outreach: Conduct discovery calls, articulate value, and guide advisers through referral processes.
* Pipeline Management: Maintain Salesforce CRM, track engagement, and nurture relationships.
* Relationship Building: Develop meaningful adviser relationships to increase market awareness and referrals.
* Collaboration: Work with teams across distribution, underwriting, and marketing to refine messaging and campaigns.
* Performance Tracking & Reporting: Use CRM tools to monitor activity, measure progress, and report metrics.
