Family Home Carer Opportunity
We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Family Home Carer to join our Out of Home Care accommodation services in Kununurra WA.
* You will work collaboratively in a complex environment as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
* Responsibilities include cleaning, washing, meal preparation, transporting to and from the community and engaging children in various social activities.
* You will be responsible for all household functions and create a comfortable and safe home environment with a consistent routine.
* Assist with and help to build independent life skills such as cooking and cleaning.
This role includes sleep over shifts. The successful candidate will have experience working with youth with complex behaviours, experience working in a therapeutic environment, and a high standard of reporting and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Clean, wash and maintain the household and grounds.
* Prepare meals for residents and assist with shopping for groceries.
* Transport residents to and from appointments and activities.
* Engage residents in various social activities and provide companionship.
* Maintain accurate records and reports of resident's daily activities and well-being.
* Administer medication to residents as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience working with youth with complex behaviours.
* Experience working in a therapeutic environment.
* Possess a high standard of reporting and documentation.
* Have a positive attitude which accompanies your resilience and commitment.
* Be calm and resilient.
* A current first-aid certificate and Working With Children Check.
