Who we are:
The Young CMHAOD team has approximately 10 multidisciplinary clinicians and a range of support staff, who provide MH AOD services, across the life span. Young CMHAOD is collocated with Young Health Service. We work closely with Medicare Mental Health and other community organisations to ensure people receive the right care for their needs. At a district level we have access to clinical leaders for MH, AOD and other specialty services such as Aboriginal Mental Health, eating disorders and Perinatal Infant Mental Health.
What you’ll be doing:
This clinical position involves the provision of assessments, evidence based treatment and case management services to adults referred to the service with psychological disorders and psychiatric illnesses.
This position is based within a multidisciplinary community Mental Health team and accepts responsibility and accountability for the provision of quality and safe care for people with a mental illness, disorder or dysfunction, people with emotional difficulties and experiencing life transition, distress and/or crisis within best practice guidelines and in accordance with professional standards, medico legal and statutory requirements. The position also involves the provision of mental health crisis intervention services to individuals of all ages (when rostered, on‑call and/or shift work, as part of a 24 hour 7 day roster).
Criteria:
- Relevant qualification and registration as listed in the classifications of the position description
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency for Registered Nurses, Psychologists. Eligibility for membership of the peak body professional association eg AASW
