Assistant Venue Manager – NSW, Great Lakes Aquatic and Leisure Centre – Forster 2428
Key member of the Centre's Leadership Team, the Assistant Venue Manager is a community go‐to who facilitates operational elements of a recreation and aquatic centre, focusing on guest‐focused outcomes.
In the absence of the area manager, the role leads the team, owns aquatic operations, supports the swim school and health club, and manages the facility.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the Duty Manager and Lifeguard teams to ensure safe and efficient aquatic operations.
* Supervise a workforce of 58 casual employees across all facility functions.
* Coordinate centre‐wide events and maintain the organisation's social media presence.
* Support the Guest Experience Team Leader by managing escalations and implementing service improvements.
* Provide key support to the Aquatic Program Coordinator by overseeing the swim school, including bookings and programme coordination.
* Support the Health Club Coordinator by overseeing daily health club operations and group fitness scheduling.
Desired Qualifications
* Royal Life Saving Pool Lifeguard Certificate.
* Current First Aid Certificate (essential).
* Royal Life Saving Pool Operations Certificate.
Desired qualities include flexibility, adaptability, resilience, and a willingness to accept feedback.
Applicants must understand WHS and risk management, including the Guidelines for Safe Pool Operations and NSW Health regulations.
