About the Role
This position is part of the Global Quality and Operations function, specifically within the Global Supply Chain team, covering demand and supply planning, logistics, and customer service.
The role requires collaborative skills, an inclusive personality, and the ability to facilitate cross-functional conversations for issue resolution, alignment, and continuous improvement.
This is a key role supporting patient needs and Convatec’s operational commitments, ensuring product availability, market growth, profitability, and cash flow efficiency.
Success Metrics
Meeting service levels (DIFOT)
Achieving global inventory targets
Accurate monthly production and capacity planning
Effective management of production and supply events
Successful product launches and lifecycle management
Reduction in logistics costs, especially air freight
Key Responsibilities
Supply Planning:
Support S&OP processes with production sites and procurement.
Manage supply to meet customer service and inventory goals.
Coordinate product allocation, raise purchase orders, and rebalance inventories.
Assist in supply information for backorders, new launches, and tenders.
Communicate potential risks to manufacturing and align priorities.
Resolve shipping discrepancies and maintain master data accuracy.
New Product Development & Lifecycle:
Support new product launches and end-of-life activities.
Ensure system alignment during product transitions.
Participate in project teams, especially for forecast scenarios and NPDs.
Inventory Management:
Optimize inventory levels based on strategy.
Address excess or lack of inventory proactively.
Adjust SAP parameters for efficiency.
Other:
Provide backup support for other supply planners as needed.
Skills & Experience
Proven supply planning experience, preferably in healthcare.
Experience with S&OP/IBP processes and SAP/IBP modules.
Excellent Excel skills, analytical thinking, and business acumen.
Strong communication, collaboration, and influence skills.
Highly organized, proactive, and capable of working independently under tight deadlines.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations, engineering, or related field.
APICS CPIM or CSCP certification preferred.
Additional Details
Travel up to 15%, including international trips.
Hybrid work based in Deeside.
Role requires global collaboration, mindful of time zones, with occasional weekend work.
