About the Role:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Haulage Operations Leader to oversee daily haulage operations and lead our frontline teams to success. Based on an 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO roster from Perth, this critical leadership role is responsible for coordinating people, plant, and processes to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and coordinate all haulage activities to ensure operational targets and customer service levels are met.
* Manage the effective utilisation and deployment of people, equipment, and systems.
* Support the Haulage Superintendent with people management activities, including performance reviews, discipline, and reward and recognition programs.
* Coach, mentor, and support both employees and contractors to foster high-performance teams and drive continuous improvement.
* Monitor and manage daily haulage operations to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
* Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Oversee the scheduling, maintenance, and upkeep of haulage equipment and vehicles.
* Coordinate subcontractor activities and ensure alignment with company standards and customer expectations.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise resource usage and achieve business objectives.

Skills and Experience Required:
Mandatory:
* Demonstrated experience in a haulage, logistics, or heavy industrial environment.
* Proven leadership experience in large-scale haulage or transport operations.
Desirable:
* Experience managing subcontractors and external service providers.
* Qualifications in logistics, transport management, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
Key Skills:
* Strong organisational and coordination skills.
* In-depth understanding of regulatory and policy frameworks in haulage operations.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse teams.
* Strong customer service focus and ability to manage client expectations.
* Sound analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
* Proficient in using operational systems and computer applications relevant to the role.
