About The Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail‐oriented Administration Officer to provide efficient and effective clerical and administrative support within Gunnedah District Hospital. This role is the first point of contact for patients and visitors, both face‐to‐face and via telephone, and plays a key role in ensuring smooth day‐to‐day operations.
Working Days
* Wednesday: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
* Thursday: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver professional and consistent customer service to patients, carers, and staff
* Manage front desk operations, including phone and email enquiries
* Accurately enter and maintain patient information using electronic medical record systems
* Complete billing processes and maintain financial records
* Provide administrative support to clinical and non‐clinical staff
* Order supplies and process invoices
* Maintain organised and up‐to‐date filing systems in line with privacy and confidentiality requirements
* Ensure all tasks are completed with a high degree of accuracy
Qualifications & Selection Criteria
* Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise, and organise work activities effectively
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail across multiple computer systems
* Strong communication skills, including active listening and effective questioning
* Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
* Experience using electronic systems and computer software to achieve work outcomes
* Flexibility and adaptability in response to changing priorities
