Cater Care is seeking an experienced Chef/Cook to lead kitchen operations at The Sisters Of Mercy, based in Nudgee, Queensland. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who thrives in a hands‐on position and is passionate about delivering high‐quality food and exceptional customer service in a supportive environment. You will need to be able to work autonomously as you will be the only person in the kitchen. This position would suit someone who is looking to slow down in their career and have a perfect work‐life balance.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead daily kitchen and catering operations
* Prepare and present high-quality meals
* Manage food and operational costs effectively
* Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
* Daily food production for up to 24 Sisters
* Maintain strong service standards and efficient kitchen workflows
* Oversee the rostering of the weekend chef and weekend operations
Desired Skills and Experience
* Trade Qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) and Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
* Proven experience in kitchen operations and/or site management, including managing food costs
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills with a hands‐on approach
* High standards of presentation, hygiene, and food safety practices
