Bookkeeper / Accounts Officer – Full-Time

About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager Finance, this role is central to the smooth running of LVE's financial operations. You'll be responsible for:
* Managing accounts payable and receivable
* Processing payroll and ensuring compliance
* Maintaining general ledger entries and reconciliations
* Preparing and lodging BAS, PAYG, and superannuation
* Supporting month-end and year-end reporting
* Assisting with budget tracking and variance analysis
* Responding to finance-related queries and supporting staff with financial systems
You'll also contribute to internal audits, process improvements, and system upgrades, helping to ensure financial sustainability and compliance across the organisation.
What You'll Bring
* Certificate IV or Diploma in Accounting or Bookkeeping (mandatory)
* Experience in bookkeeping or finance administration
* Strong working knowledge of Xero
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
* A commitment to inclusion and the values of LVE
Experience in the not-for-profit or disability services sector is highly regarded but not essential.

Mandatory Requirements
* Must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or have full working rights in Australia
* Hold a current Australian driver's license
* Willing to undergo or already hold:
* National Police Check
* Working With Children Check (Employee)
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* VicRoads Driving History Check
