Expression of Interest - Painter Blaster | Join Project Ceres
Join our team as an experienced Painter Blaster on the Perdaman Project in Karratha. We are looking for someone with 4+ years' hands on experience in construction environments. This position offers a 20:8 roster (20 days on, 8 days off) with Perth as the point of hire.
About the Role
* Perform abrasive blasting (sand, grit, shot, or other media) to remove rust, scale, paint, and contaminant.
* Prepare surfaces by cleaning, masking, sanding, and priming as required.
* Apply industrial coatings using spray equipment, brushes, or rollers.
* Mix paints and coatings according to manufacturer specifications.
* Inspect surfaces before and after blasting and painting to ensure quality standards are met.
* Operate and maintain blasting and painting equipment.
* Follow job specifications, blueprints, and coating system requirements.
* Comply with all safety, environmental, and OSHA regulations.
* Maintain a clean and organized work area.
What you will bring to the team:
* A relevant Trade Certificate and Construction White/Blue Card.
* Working at Heights, High Risk Work License (EWP), Confined Space and Gas test Atmospheres.
* Ability to operate blasting equipment, spray guns, and air compressors.
* Strong communication skills with ability to work effectively within a team environment.
* Previous experience working FIFO/ Mining/ Construction or Project based environments will be highly regarded.
* Hold a current Australian Driver's License.
* Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening.
* Must have full working rights in Australia.
